I have been using Neuma for a little over a year and recently took something Nikko Hurtado said about using Bugpin Magnums when it comes to doing areas of several color blends on top of , or next to each other, without tramatizing the skin at all. I have done this with 7 , 9 , 13 , 15 BP Magnums and noticed not only are the smoother blending. But I think using the Neuma is the closest you can come to using a paintbrush. Well, with these types of groupings they flex very easy making them , almost paintbrush like.... its amazing. If you haven't tried them Kingpin Carries the rounded and Flat Bugpin Magnums ( just remember to change the Tube size : in other words if it is a 9 bugpin it fits in a 7 mag tube , if its a 13 mag BP it fits in a 11mag tube, etc.). Try this technique it works awesome extremely well for portraits , realism , or actually almost any application where you want really smooth shading..... GIVE IT A SHOT! IT CANT HURT!. Let us all know what you think. It isnt the best for PACKING FIELDS OF SOLID color.--- Rob Laux

i gave this a try on a semi realistic bee tattoo and ive never gotten a yellow packed in as smoothly. the yellow areas werent large , but they were very near the elbow ditch, which is an area i sometimes have trouble getting colors as solid as id like. Good shit man, thanks!

Yeah man sorry it took so long to get back to you . I was waiting to see if anyone else was going to comment. Dee Dee does some really AWESOME stuff with the Neuma , she might have some thoughts, Have you ever used Classic color! I was a huge eternal and starbrite person but their yellow is absolutely the most amazing yellow I have ever used. Give that a try if you get a chance REALLY amazing stuff!-- Rob Laux
