Amuen.com Announces: The Mac Book and iPod Touch Giveaway!

Part 1 - Design the best, most unique, most interesting, coolest profile page layout, win a free new Mac Book with a custom skin designed by Carson Hill.

Part 2 - Invite the most people, resulting in the most new memberships, and get a new 16GB iPod Touch, also with a custom skin designed by Carson Hill.

First of all, NO! This isn't one of those random phishing ads that make you complete a bunch of challenges/advertising promotions, with no actual way of winning a new Mac Book. This is an honest to goodness challenge that we at Amuen are putting forth in order to expand the membership base, richness and complexity of our fledgling site. 

Second, you may be asking, “Why would we be giving away such awesome prizes?” or wondering what’s in it for us. The simple truth is that the more creative souls we have interacting with Amuen, and the more interesting the people and profiles are, the better the site will be. So in light of these facts, we will be asking that all profile design submissions for the layout portion of the contest become property of Amuen. We ask this so that we may select some of the profiles as templates, and add them to the list of default page layouts, so that we can offer a more robust range of choices for new and/or less technologically proficient members. Also, in the spirit of communicating and expanding knowledge, we at Amuen would truly appreciate it if all entries were accompanied by a short blog, detailing how they achieved their layout design. This is not mandatory, and will not affect your chances of winning.

And finally you may have other questions like:

“How long do I have to complete my design?”

Official Amuen “Mac Book and iPod Touch Giveaway” Contest Rules:

Part 1- Amuen Page Layout Design Contest.

- The prize for creating the “Best” profile is a brand new 13in Apple Mac 

Book. It will come with a custom skin designed by Carson Hill, renowned artist and creator of Amuen.com. 

- Contest submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm Sun 5/31/2009. 

- All page layout designs entered into contest for review become property of Amuen.com. And may be used for any purpose we see fit.

- To enter your page layout, post a comment on this blog with a title of    - “I want the Mac Book, Judge My Profile”.

- Profiles will be judged by the makers of Amuen.com on Mon. 6/1/2009, and the winner will be declared and prize awarded on Tues. 6/2/2009

- The winner will be chosen on a purely subjective basis, solely based on what we feel is the best design and all decisions will be final and undisputable.

- Profiles will be judged based solely on their appearance on Mon 6/1/2009. Previous versions will not be evaluated for consideration.

- In the event that one person has created more than one profile, they may submit all profile layouts for consideration, however, you may enter only 1 page for each person or group.

- Contest is open to everyone, with the exception of employees of Amuen.com; it’s parent company Neuma Tattoo machines, Inc., or any if it’s affiliates.

- It would be helpful for tutorial purposes if a brief description of how the profile was created were posted as a blog on each entries profile page. This step is optional, and will not affect the judging of the profile design. The “tutorial” blog does not need to be posted until after the contest has been decided.

Part 2- Invitation Referral Fulfillment Contest

- The prize for inviting the most people, resulting in the most new memberships, is a brand new 16GB iPod Touch. It will come with a custom skin designed by Carson Hill, renowned artist and creator of Amuen.com. 

        - In order to properly track how many invitations contestants have sent out and been fulfilled, it is necessary to use the "Invite Friends" tool in the friends toolbar.

- Invitation referrals must be commuted into new memberships before 11:59pm Sun 5/31/2009. The winner will be declared 6/1/2009.

- Invitation referrals and fulfillments are already being tracked by Amuen.com, and the contest includes all referrals starting from the inception of the website.

- We will post weekly updates of the top 10 “Inviters” so you can track your progress and see what you need to do to win.

- There is no limit to the amount of invitations any one person may send.

- All new memberships must be valid profiles.
